If you haven’t heard about Pretty Jane Shop, you must have been living under a rock. Pretty Jane Shop created some of the most beautiful, feminine and classy line of clothes we have seen. Locally designed and created, Pretty Jane has been around for years and is a proudly South African brand. And now, days away from launching their sister company, Baby Jane Shop, I’m sure you as just as curious about the gorgeous baby products that will stem from this brand.

So I absolutely had to get this exclusive interview with the lovely ladies behind Baby Jane Shop as they are getting ready to launch this new project. Get to know them a little, and have a sneak peak behind the scenes!

Tell us a bit about yourself and what motivated and inspired you to start Baby Jane Shop

Baby Jane Shop is what happens when you take a successful business owner Jeanri Wernich and a mother of two Suzelle Bolleurs. You get a new baby and toddler clothing line! Baby Jane Shop is the sister company of Pretty Jane Shop. We, as sisters, combined our visions, dreams and passion to bring you Baby Jane. The fabric, patterns, packaging ext are all handpicked by us with our main focus always on quality & uniqueness!

How did you decide on the name?

Baby Jane comes from the sister company Pretty Jane. The name Pretty Jane was decided one family holiday! The name “Jane” is symbolic for ALL women. Like Jane Doe, basically Meaning ALL women are pretty! 

What type of products do you sell?

Baby Jane Shop is a proudly South African business producing a very exclusive range of handmade baby and toddler clothing as well as unique accessories.We strive to choose very high quality fabrics for those delicate skins. With our natural, simplistic and earthy style our collection has a bohemian type feel to it.

Tell us how your children has inspired you

Milazelle & Reinhardt Bolleurs inspired the clothing line. Not only are they the inspiration behind Baby Jane, but the children of Suzelle Bolleurs and godchildren of Jeanri Wernich. . .We quickly realized that it was sometimes nearly impossible to find unique , quality and pretty babywear for both of them. .The solution? Open your one baby & toddler clothing store! This exclusive range of handmade baby and toddler clothing as well as unique accessories will be launching Saturday, 30 March 2019.

What is the dream for Baby Jane Shop? Where do you see yourselves in 5 years?

At the moment we are just taking our dream day by day. We would love a Baby Jane Store later on. The sky is the limit when you pour your heart & soul into something!

What makes your products different?

We are forever evolving. We both love fashion. So bringing you stylish,  yet practical. Pretty , yet affordable. We think that makes us different. Our unique patterns and fabrics!

Suzelle: Elastigirl from The Incredibles. We’re both moms. I can definitely relate. In all that chaos , I feel she gets me!

Jeanri: Catwoman!

Suzelle: Wet wipes. I’m a mom. Enough said.

Jeanri: At least 3 lipsticks!

When I’m alone in the car, I …

Suzelle: I go from Pienkvoet Pret Cd’s too full on Eminem.

Jeanri: I don’t have to be alone… I sing CRAZY loud and hope no one sees me!
