I’ve been watching (and listening) to my kids annoy the heck out of their siblings lately, and however frustrating, it actually puts a smile on my face. This is so normal, right? We’ve all done the “Mom, she’s copying meeee…” with a sibling echoing those exact same words in the exact same tone. The last two weeks have been filled with people raising their voices with regards to the #BlackLivesMatter movement. And whilst so many people responded fast and loud with posts all over all social media platforms, others were slightly less vocal. And that caused even more of an uproar.

I’ve been married for 12 and a half years. Having a husband is the most incredible feeling, the most frustrating “job” and the safest space in the world. Not everyone experiences it that way, and that’s OK. We started dating when I was 18 years old, dated for 4 years before we tied the knot. So in a mere 2 years time, I would have been with my husband longer that I’ve been without him. How incredible is that?

I love my birthday. And even more so because my love language is Gifts! So I plan for my next birthday the month after I just had mine. (Ok, I’m not really that bad…) But this year has happened so fast, I have almost forgotten I’m turning a year older in August. I love getting older, don’t get me wrong, but I do miss the fun anticipation of a party and cake. So this year, I decided to create a birthday bucket list.
