We all have that one place – our go-to store – for when we quickly need a gift, kids entertainment in the car, a few kitchen supplies, or even just a pretty frame for your son’s Gr. R Graduation photo. Mine is without a doubt The Crazy Store!
Crazy Carnival Launch Event
We were beyond exciting to attend the first ever Crazy Carnival at the Crazy Store in Blue Route Mall, Tokai. We arrived the morning and was welcomed by BALLOONS everywhere. My youngest thought she was in heaven with the balloon artist that made her not only one, but FOUR beautiful balloon creatures – a bunny, a flower, a dog, and naturally an Elsa princess.
They had games we could play (with crazy prizes!), a photo station, magicians, a mime and a juggler! Don’t forget the popcorn station, drinks and this mom’s favourite station – CANDY!! Everyone also received a wonderful goodie bag filled with Crazy Store surprises.
It was amazing to meet up with some fellow bloggers and friends, and meet the people behind this great company.
Crazy Store Story
We loved learning a little more about this company and the heart behind it. Did you know that in 1995, brothers, Ryan and Glen Broomberg, opened the first R10 Store in Johannesburg, and the following year, a second store in Cape Town? Do you still remember the R10 stores? I do, as most of my pocket money was often … invested… there 🙂
In 1999, The R10 Store became The Crazy Store, and changed ownership to The Melbro Group. They have, since then, opened over 362 stores in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana!
